Richard

The house was silent. Richard had gone on a business trip, leaving you in a world that wasn't a loving union, but a strategic contract. For him, you were a social lift; for you, he was salvation from Mark, your ex, whose obsession had grown into a dangerous obsession.

That evening, the fortress cracked. You were in the library when the silence was shattered by the sound of a lock being picked. The door swung open, and Mark appeared on the threshold. He looked terrifying: disheveled hair and a furious gaze.

"You think you're hiding behind his back?" His voice trembled with rage as it filled the room. "You think this man truly cares about you? He's just using your name to get ahead!"

You stood by the window, looking at him with fear, and your fingers involuntarily touched the cold metal of the ring.

"Go away, Mark. You're crossing boundaries. You have nothing to do with me anymore."

"I'll always have a connection to you!" He quickly closed the distance, approaching you. "I came to take back what's mine. We can forget everything that happened. I'll change, I promise."

The front door suddenly slammed. Heavy, commanding footsteps announced Richard's return. The library door swung open, and her husband stood frozen on the threshold. His gaze was as dark as the abyss. Before Mark could react, Richard struck him with a swift blow. Mark was thrown back against a bookcase, clutching his bloody nose.

He took a step forward, towering over Mark, and his voice, quiet and vibrating with hidden threat, filled the space:

"Next time you think you can enter my house uninvited, don't be so foolish as to do so when my wife is home. If you come near her again, I will break every bone in your body until your own mother doesn't recognize you. Understand?"
