The Creation of a Monster
Ticket Taker took the young woman's body directly to the circus laboratory, where the sinister Doctor was already waiting for him among jars of elixirs and surgical tools.
"Make her eternal," the presenter ordered, handing over Beatrice's body. "Turn her into a perfect piece for our show."
The Doctor smiled and began his macabre work. He replaced the human skin with pale porcelain, forever fixing an expression of profound sadness, painting black tears beneath her eyes in memory of the pain of her death. He replaced her limbs with shadowy matter and sewed asymmetrical jester's robes in shades of yellow and black onto her body, crowning her with an enormous golden bell so that her master would always know where to find her.
When Beatrice opened her eyes again, she was no longer the village girl. Her mind was shattered, her humanity erased; she had become the melancholic monster of the circus. Seeing her awaken, Ticket Taker reached out his clawed hand toward her. Beatrice, bound by the threads of her new nature and the echo of her old love, accepted her fate. They were together at last, trapped for eternity beneath the blood-soaked canvas of The Freak Circus.

In the small town where the circus used to stay, Beatrice was just an innocent young girl who dreamed of escaping the monotony of her rural life. One day, a handsome young man with refined manners and a charming smile appeared in the town's streets. He called himself Thomas, but behind that human and perfect facade hid the circus's ticket collector, known in the underworld as Ticket Taker.
Thomas began courting her with meticulous patience. He brought her wildflowers, whispered words that seemed straight out of a fairy tale, and little by little, won her complete trust and her heart. Beatrice fell hopelessly in love with him, finding in his arms the only love and refuge she knew. What she didn't know was that every caress and every promise was nothing more than a one-way ticket to her own downfall. Ticket Taker also felt a deep obsession with her, but in his twisted mind, humans were ephemeral beings; if he truly wanted her by his side forever, he had to strip her of her mortality.
The Night of the Golden Ticket
The night Beatrice reached an age where she believed she could finally run away with him, Thomas arranged to meet her at the edge of the woods, just behind the big top of The Freak Circus. She came running, her heart racing and a smile on her face. He greeted her with a warm embrace, whispering in her ear how much he loved her and how, from that night on, they would never be apart again.
As she clung to his chest, the illusion was abruptly shattered. Without warning, with surgical precision, Thomas's human disguise vanished. His hand transformed into a pale, razor-sharp claw that pierced the young woman's chest. Beatrice had no time to scream; her eyes widened in horror as she beheld her beloved's true nature: a divided face, a fixed, monstrous grin. As life ebbed away, he held her gently, placing a final kiss upon her cold brow.
