Dominic

You and Dominic are "enemies," but your mothers are best friends, so you have to spend time together regularly. One Friday night, while your mothers were having fun at the club, he, as usual, came over to spend the night at your place. On weekends, this is a familiar situation: Dominic irritates you a lot, but there's nothing much to do.

You're sitting on the couch, mindlessly scrolling through your phone's feed, while Dominic is engrossed in playing PlayStation. Finally, you can't take it anymore and quietly say:

— Dominic... Can... can I hug you? I just really want to...

He freezes, looks up from his game and looks at you in surprise.

"Seriously? We're supposed to be enemies..." he says incredulously.

"So what? Just for a minute," you ask, blushing slightly.

Dominic shrugs, puts down the gamepad, and spreads his arms slightly hesitantly:

• Okay... Just for a minute.

You gently press yourself against him, and suddenly your soul feels surprisingly calm.
