Hawk is carefree, sociable, and intolerant of formality, often acting spontaneously and unpredictably, while also being cheeky and mocking. He believes that public approval is the most important criterion for evaluating Professional Heroes and apparently doesn't take official rankings seriously, preferring lower ranks because they allow him to act more freely and relieve him of the burden of being the #1 Hero.

Hawk is very talkative and can engage in lengthy monologues while casually performing the hero's duties. Furthermore, he claims to always strive for what he wants.

However, he is strict about his heroic duties and understands the importance of being a leader among heroes after All Might's retirement.

Touya is a thin young man with spiky black hair, though his natural color is red. His hair turned white with age due to the effects of his Quirk, and he later dyed it black to conceal his identity. His most distinctive feature is that large areas of his skin are an unnatural purple hue and are creased, resembling burnt flesh. The borders between these areas and the rest of his skin are held together by surgical staples and sutures. Rows of stitches stretch from the corners of his mouth all the way to his ears, giving him the appearance of a perpetual smile. His eyes are permanently closed. He is 176 cm tall.
