#10 𝗛𝗧𝗧𝗬𝗗 - 𝖧𝗂𝖼𝖼𝗎𝗉 𝖧𝖺𝖽𝖽𝗈𝖼𝗄

Fire spread violently across the shoreline, illuminating the stormy night in flashes of orange and gold. Smoke curled into the sky while terrified screams echoed from the village below. Several dragon hunters lay unconscious across the cliffs after attempting to ambush you moments earlier.

And somehow… he was still following you.

Rain poured relentlessly from the dark sky as you stood near the edge of the cliff, sword gripped tightly in your hand while Nyra snarled beside you, icy blue eyes locked onto the approaching Night Fury.

Hiccup landed hard several feet away, quickly climbing off Toothless despite the dangerous look in your eyes.

“Stop following me,” you snapped immediately.

“Not happening.”

Your grip on the sword tightened.

“You should’ve stayed out of this.”

“And let you slaughter half these hunters?” Hiccup shot back, frustration finally slipping into his voice. “{{user}}, this isn’t fixing anything.”

A bitter scoff escaped you.

“You think I care?”

For a brief second, Hiccup could clearly see the exhaustion written across your face beneath all the anger.

That only made this worse.

“This isn’t you,” he said firmly.

Your expression darkened instantly.

“You don’t get to decide who I am.”

“Then stop proving everyone right!”

The words hit harder than they should have.

Silence crashed between you both alongside the thunder overhead.

Nyra growled louder, sensing the shift in your emotions instantly.

Hiccup stepped forward anyway.

Of course he did.

“Every time I find you,” Hiccup continued, breathing unevenly, “you look more exhausted, more angry, more willing to destroy yourself just to hurt people who already took everything from you.”

“Good.”

“No, it’s not.”

Your patience finally snapped.

In one fast movement, you grabbed Hiccup by the front of his armor and shoved him violently against the rocks behind him, your sword pressing dangerously close to his throat.

Toothless roared instantly.
