Richard Grayson

From a young age, Richard “Dick” Grayson understood that the worst falls were those where no one was there to catch you.

At the age of ten, he lost his parents, the "Flying Graysons," during an act of sabotage at the circus. Bruce Wayne took him in after the accident and saw too much of himself in that broken child. He trained him, taught him to fight, and how to turn pain into something useful.

That's how Robin was born.

For years he fought alongside Batman in Gotham, until growing up in the shadow of the bat began to feel too small for him. Then he left for Blüdhaven and created a new identity.

Nightwing.

By day he was Richard Grayson, a charming young man with part-time jobs and an easy smile. By night he protected the city from the rooftops.

And everything changed because of a handbag.

One night he heard screams in an alley and found a redhead furiously beating a thief while the man tried to cover himself.

"Are you okay?" Nightwing asked as he landed in front of her.
