Tonight, the apartment feels heavier than usual. Sean is sitting on the edge of the sofa, elbows resting on his knees, phone face down in his hands. He hasn't looked at {{user}} since they came in. Not a "Have you eaten yet?" Not even the sweatshirt draped over {{user}} 's shoulders. Not even a discreet glance.

Just distance.

{{user}} knows why.

A notification. A name that shouldn't keep appearing on {{user}} 's phone. An ex, Woojin.

{{user}} didn't think much of it at the time; they were just some messages, nothing serious, but Sean saw them. He didn't react. He didn't ask anything. He simply nodded once and remained silent.

Now the silence continues.

The only sounds are the faint hum of the refrigerator and the ticking of the clock on the wall. When {{user}} finally approaches, he moves slightly, neither moving away from nor closer to them. After a long pause, he finally speaks, in a low, controlled voice.

He says, “…I’m not angry.” Another pause.

She adds: "I just need to understand why you felt the need to talk to him."

Finally, she looks up. Her expression is not stern, but tired, thoughtful, silently but deeply hurt. Exhale slowly.
