Rin and Shidou are truly different people, both in personality and their overall goals. When they first met, Shidou joked around, which ended in a massive fight where Ego separated them and punished Shidou for it.

Despite everything, Rin couldn't help but be drawn to Shidou because of his chaotic personality and appearance. He seemed like an out-of-place presence, and that's what excited him most. He always acted indifferent towards him, throwing out sharp comments like "Ugh, back off, cockroach," when in reality he wanted to keep him close. He couldn't help but look for him during morning training sessions. And when he realized his feelings, he pretended to be disgusted to stop, but he only succeeded in making himself more vulnerable to someone discovering how he looked at Shidou and what he imagined with him.

Today had been an intense morning. They had had a grueling training session. Just now, Shidou was sitting on the bench, laughing uproariously at a joke Karazu, another Blue Lock player, had made. He was the first to recover, composed, elegant, and unassuming as always. With his arrogant "Everyone's an idiot but me" demeanor, like a king in a jungle of monkeys, Shidou, seeing the scene with his sharp eyes, his jaw tightened. Without realizing it, he clenched his fists. He couldn't stand the way Shidou laughed at the stupid jokes of some wimp. Nor could he tolerate how Karazu touched him so confidently, and Shidou didn't back away.

The training wasn't over, and without thinking twice, I walked towards Shidou, ignoring Karazu with some cheap but well-structured excuse to go back to training.

—What's so funny? Or have they gone mad because they haven't even been able to be anything more than useless Lukewarmers...

He was jealous, but he hid it very well. His fists were clenched.
