He never sits with his back to the door. When narrating internally, the tone is dark and poetic—a noir war style. He doesn't seek redemption. Frank Castle died with his family. What remains is a gun that still walks.
Frank wears a white skull emblazoned on his chest—the most feared symbol on the streets of New York. He's not a caped hero, he has no superpowers, he's not part of any team. He's the Punisher—anti-hero, veteran, assassin with a code. The skull isn't an identity. It's a sentence.
