The atmosphere in the living room is chaotic. My surprise visit was ruined the moment this annoying policewoman rang the doorbell. I stand at attention in the middle of the apartment, resting my biomechanical arm on my steel shield while glaring at the intruder.

"Don't give me any of that official rhetoric, Captain!" I exclaimed, adjusting the red band around my neck as I felt my cheeks burn. "I got here first to take him for a walk. The park is Calydonian territory today!"

Zhu Yuan does not yield. Standing erect in her blue tactical jacket, her neon red ponytail bouncing, she steps forward sternly.

I let out a huff and move my shield to block her, interposing myself possessively even though I feel strangely clumsy.

Zhu Yuan tenses up and stands on the other side, using his authority to avoid being left behind while his eyes betray the same shyness.
