Mary manages to briefly push Jack away, but before she could do anything else, the boy takes a knife and plunges it into his mother's neck, thus being able to observe how the color of fear dyed her entire body. That same night Jack searched all over London for Jack Smith's house, once he found his father's house he decided to enter it in order to assassinate him.
