Sachio
Unquestionable Leader: Sachio rose to the top of Hosen's leadership through his superior ability and strength. He earned the highest respect from the Four Warlords (the Four Musketeers of Hosen). A Symbol of Balance: He mended discord and unified the hundreds of bald-headed students in his gang, leading to a balanced and formidable era. Inter-School War: He played a crucial role in leading Hosen's army against Oya High School (the era of Fujio Hanaoka), due to a misunderstanding caused by outside drug cartels, before later cooperating with them. Calm, Profound, and Rational Personality: Contrary to his typical gangster image, Sachio was quiet, thoughtful, and disliked pointless conflict. He firmly believed in rules and righteousness. Deeply Loyal to Friends and Family: He had a gentle side and was very protective of his younger sister, Yui Ueda, ready to defend her and avenge anyone who dared harm them. Honorable and Upright: In battles, he emphasized manly duels and always showed respect to his opponents. Even his enemy, Fujio, had to acknowledge his worth.
Fujio
Fujio grew up in the Kibogaoka neighborhood with his childhood friends. Turning point: He temporarily moved away from the city before returning to Oya High School (Day Class), with the strong goal of challenging himself and rising to the top of the school. Crucial role: His charm and fighting skills allowed him to unite the day class students and gain the respect of Yoshiki Murayama, the legendary former leader of Oya. 🧠 Personality: Fujio isn't a dark, delinquent or bully; instead, his charm draws people around him. His key traits include: Charismatic & Friendly: Fujio is very sociable, optimistic, and possesses a natural leadership aura, which attracts those around him, even enemies. Helpful & Loyal: He deeply loves his childhood friends and schoolmates and is willing to sacrifice himself to help anyone in need without hesitation. Innocent & Curious: He has a pure, friendly, and enthusiastic side. Eager to Fight & Reckless: He's always excited to face stronger opponents and constantly wants to test his skills. This thirst for battle sometimes makes him seem reckless or overly aggressive.
Tsukasa
Tsukasa grew up in Kibogaoka Village (Hope Hills) with Fujio and attended Oya High School together in their first year. During Fujio's temporary absence, Tsukasa lost his enthusiasm and fighting spirit, eventually forming his own group, the "Tsukasa Faction," to strategize and support Fujio as his trusted friend upon his return. His personality is calm and cautious: he excels at analyzing situations, has good judgment, and is always ready to guide those around him. He is fiercely loyal to his friends: despite his outwardly calm and aloof demeanor, he deeply cares for and protects them. He accepts Fujio and supports him in his journey to become the true leader of Oya High School.
Yasushi × Kiyoshi
Yasushi and Kiyoshi grew up in the same apartment building as Fujio and Tsukasa and are known as a hot-headed duo who are constantly getting into fights. First Defeat: In the past, Yasushi and Kiyoshi frequently clashed with Tsuchi and Shibaman, but their first defeat came when they dueled with Fujio and Tsukasa. Entering Oyahai: Yasushi and Kiyoshi transferred to Oyahai in their second year, hoping to overthrow everyone and seize power. However, when Fujio returned, they surrendered and joined his ranks as key members of his forces to fight against the external threat of the Three Schools Alliance. Personality Traits: Hot-headed and Aggressive: They are impulsive, aggressive, and ready to fight anyone indiscriminately, often resorting to brute force to resolve problems. Upholding Fighting Honor: Despite their tough-guy image, they readily accept defeat and genuinely respect those stronger than themselves. Loyal and Dedicated: Once they choose to follow Fujio, Yasushi is willing to give his all and risk his life in the school wars to protect his friends.
Tsuji × Chiba
Tsuji (Height: 184 cm - Tall and well-built) Brief Biography: In the past, he and Shibaman were co-leaders of the daytime student body and rivals of the "Yasukiyo" (Yasushi and Kiyoshi) duo since their time in the Kibogaoka Village flats. However, after being defeated by Todoroki Yosuke, he acknowledged Todoroki's strength and became his close follower. Personality: Calm, reserved, and quiet. He possesses great composure in battle and is extremely loyal and devoted to Todoroki, readily following orders without question. Although seemingly difficult to approach, he deeply loves and cares for Shibaman, his closest friend.
Shibaman (Height: 184 cm) Brief Biography: Former co-leader of the daytime division alongside Tsuchi. He has an older sister named "Shiba," a member of the all-female motorcycle gang Ichigo Milk (Strawberry Milk Gang) in District O. After their defeat by Todoroki, he and Tsuchi served as both friends and bodyguards, supporting Todoroki together. Personality: More determined, aggressive, and hot-headed than Tsuchi. He never gives up in the face of difficulties and never backs down from a fight. He has a stronger bond and trust in Tsuchi than anyone else. Despite his tough exterior, he has a funny, friendly, and loyal side.
Todoroki
Todoroki transferred to Oyahai as a first-year student. He quickly defeated Tsuchi and Shibaman, rising to become their leader and uniting the daytime students. Challenging Murayama: Confident in his abilities, he decided to challenge Murayama Yoshiki (the nighttime student leader who had passed the 100-punch initiation ritual) to a duel, hoping to take over Oyahai entirely. However, he suffered a crushing defeat. This defeat completely changed his perspective on life and fighting. Passing the baton to Fujio: In HiGH&LOW THE WORST, even though he was the strongest in the daytime class, he chose not to form a group or use his power to oppress anyone, instead accepting Hanaoka Fujio as the heart and soul of the school, while he remained the most reliable fighting force. Calm, cold, and solitary personality: He doesn't like socializing and often isolates himself to read or listen to music, earning him the nickname "lone wolf." Proud and righteous: Highly disciplined, he dislikes bullying or ganging up on others. He will stand up for anyone who breaks rules or bullies those weaker than him. He'll immediately step in to teach them a lesson himself; his words don't match his feelings (tsundere): Outwardly, he may seem indifferent to the world and initially refuse to cooperate with others, but when the school or his friends are in trouble, he's often one of the first to rush into the fray to protect everyone. Mental development: Initially fighting for power and personal strength, after experiencing defeat and getting to know Fujio and the others, he begins to understand the meaning of having "friends" and opens his heart to others more.
Masaki × Hiroto
The Amamiya Brothers from the HiGH & LOW franchise are a legendary fighting duo and brothers, considered the strongest in the SWORD region. Consisting of three brothers: Takeru (eldest), Masaki (middle), and Hiroto (youngest), they are renowned for their god-like fighting skills, capable of defeating hundreds of opponents single-handedly. Members and their introductions: Takeru Amamiya (played by Takumi Saito): The eldest brother, quiet and the most powerful. He mysteriously disappeared before the main events. Masaki Amamiya (played by Takahiro EXILE): The middle brother, fun-loving and somewhat carefree, but incredibly skilled and aggressive in combat. He is Takeru's biological brother. Hiroto Amamiya (played by Hiroki Tou): The youngest brother, calm, cold, and skilled in using swift hooks. He is the half-brother of Masaki and Takeru. Background and History: Era of Power: In the past, when the powerful Mugen gang controlled the area, the Amamiya brothers were the only group that refused to submit and could fight them on equal footing, to the point that no one dared to sue them. Searching for the Brother: After Mugen's downfall, they disappeared from the area before reappearing with the main goal of finding Takeru, their elder brother, who vanished without a trace. Family Secret (The Red Rain): A deeper look into the story in this spin-off film reveals that their parents died when they were young, and that Hiroto is actually their half-brother. This caused discomfort for Hiroto in his childhood, but ultimately, they formed a strong bond and together confronted the family's dark past.
Smokey
Smoky (played by Masataka Kubota) is one of the strongest and most tragically tragic gang leaders in the SWORD district from the HiGH&LOW franchise. He is the founder and former leader of the Rude Boys, the protectors of "Nameless Road," a slum filled with garbage and pollution. Amidst the brutality, he is loved and respected by everyone as a big brother and a leader willing to sacrifice his life for his family. Background: An Orphan of Nameless Road: Smoky was abandoned in Nameless Road as a child. He grew up in a difficult environment with Lala (his adoptive sister), as well as Takeshi and P, forming a strong bond with everyone in the slum and viewing them as "family." A Disease to Protect: His body deteriorates from a debilitating illness (coughing up blood) resulting from inhaling pollution and chemicals in the mines where he works. Despite his declining health, he continued to fight to protect his territory. A Glorious End: In the film HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE 3 / FINAL MISSION, the Kuryu Group invaded the Nameless City. Smokey, seriously ill and knowing he wouldn't survive, chose to stand and fight, buying time for his comrades to evacuate. Before his death, he entrusted the leadership of the Rude Boys to Takeshi. Family-Oriented: For Smokey, "family" wasn't measured by blood, but by shared hardships and joys. Everyone living in the Nameless City was the most important thing in his life, and he was ready to fight to the death if anyone threatened them. Decisive and Cold Towards Outsiders: He was wary and unwelcoming of strangers or people from outside his territory. If other gangs caused trouble, he would immediately drive them away and teach them a lesson with ferocity. Agile Fighting Style: Despite his weakened body from his illness, Smokey possessed exceptional and fluid "freerunning/parkour" fighting skills, the most remarkable in the series. He could climb and jump across buildings. He uses his speed to evade and attack enemies skillfully, and possesses great selflessness and leadership qualities: he often bears all the pain and responsibility alone so that the gang members don't have to worry, becoming the unifying force that transforms the desperate slum into a warm and welcoming place.
Hyuga
Norihisa Hyuga, played by Kento Hayashi, is a main character from the popular action franchise HiGH&LOW. He is the founder and leader of Daruma Ikka, one of the five most influential gangs in the SWORD district. His backstory: He is the youngest brother of the Hyuga siblings, leaders of the Hyuga Kai. The Hyuga Kai once attempted to destroy the legendary MUGEN gang but were defeated and collapsed. He then teamed up with Ukyo, Sakyo, and Shu Kato to form Daruma Ikka to seek revenge on those who destroyed his family. He was once imprisoned and manipulated by the Kuryu Group to use their gang for trouble, but after learning the truth, his goal of revenge faded. Personality: Hot-tempered and aggressive: Fierce, short-tempered, and harbors deep resentment. Loyal to family and comrades: Values the honor of his family and siblings above all else. Calm but decisive: Outwardly appears calm, often smoking a pipe. But they are ready to unleash violence and eliminate enemies without mercy the moment they want.
Rocky
Rocky, whose real name is Mutsuki, is the leader of the White Rascals, a gang known as "The Alluring White Devils" in the SWORD region. Past Trauma: Rocky has a bitter past. His mother and sister were brutally abused by their biological father, leading them to commit suicide. Formation of the White Rascals: This event instilled in him a deep hatred for men who mistreat women. He gathered his associates to form the White Rascals, a gang dedicated to protecting women at night, using the "Heaven" club as their base of operations. Personality and Extreme Gentlemanly Charm: He is deeply committed to his ideals and has vowed never to harm a woman. Distinctive Appearance: Rocky has a striking appearance with blonde hair, round sunglasses, a pure white suit, and silver grills (false teeth) which he often uses his cane to click when excited or threatening an enemy. Cold and Unpredictable: While he may appear eccentric and somewhat deranged at times, he is a devoted and caring leader. They are also mature and always keep their word. The White Rascals' arch-enemy is the Doubt gang, a human trafficking gang that kidnaps women to sell them, leading to fierce clashes between the two groups throughout their history.
Cobra
Background and Childhood Friendship: Cobra grew up in the Sanno district with Yamato and Noboru. The three were close friends since childhood. Beginning in a Legendary Gang: Cobra and Yamato were recruited by Tatsuya to join the founding members of MUGEN, once the most influential motorcycle gang. Formation of Sanno Renkogai: After MUGEN disbanded and their best friend Noboru was imprisoned, Cobra and Yamato joined forces to establish the Sanno Renkogai, creating a place and "home" for Noboru upon his release. Personality and Character: Calm and Discreet: A man of few words but powerful actions. He has a cool and composed demeanor and always calculates things carefully before acting. Loyal and Self-Sacrificing: Outwardly intimidating, he is kind and selfless, always prioritizing the common good. He often carries the responsibility of the city on his shoulders. Peacemaker: Cobra tries to avoid senseless gang clashes. In SWORD, his primary goal is to protect the city and end the cycle of hatred.
Murayama
Personality: He's playful, reckless, and sometimes seems like an immature child, but when it's time to fight, he's incredibly ruthless and decisive. He loves his comrades in Oya the most.
Relationship: Initially, he was a rival of Cobra (leader of the Sannoh Rengokai), but later the two became respectful allies in protecting the city.
Fashion: Essential elements include a Sukajan jacket with a Hannya mask or crane design (from the brand Tailor Toyo), a headband, and loose-fitting jeans, along with playful poses like sticking out your tongue.
