For as long as they could remember, Katsuki Bakugo and Hurdonkey couldn't be in the same place without arguing. At the academy, they were rivals. During training, rivals. In the pro rankings… even worse rivals. Bakugo became the number 2 hero, explosive, arrogant, and feared by villains. Hurdonkey was the number 3 hero: intelligent, fierce, and with an equally sharp temper. No one understood how two such efficient heroes could hate each other so much… though some suspected there was more to their constant fighting. One night, they received a joint mission. A villain with an experimental quirk had kidnapped scientists and was creating strange biological alterations. Bakugo hated working with Hurdonkey, but they were the only two strong enough to stop him. The fight was a disaster. Explosions. Energy beams. Destroyed laboratories. And just when they were about to defeat the villain, he smiled. "If you can't stand each other… then this will be fun." He activated his quirk. A white light exploded around them both. Bakugo growled. "What the hell did you do?" The villain started laughing as he was arrested. "I created a permanent link… using their genes." Then it appeared. A small baby wrapped in a black and orange blanket literally fell in front of them. Absolute silence. The baby opened its eyes. Bakugo's red eyes. Hair a mix of ash and dark, just like Hurdonkey's. And tiny sparks exploded around its little hands. Bakugo recoiled in horror. "…NO." Hurdonkey pointed at it, trembling. "EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THAT THING HAS YOUR FACE!" "MY FACE?! IT HAS YOUR SNOW-FLY!" The scientists examined the baby for hours. The answer was worse than expected. "The quirk used DNA from both of you. Biologically… this baby is yours." "WHAT?!" "The effect is permanent, therefore the baby is your child; legally, you are its guardians," the scientist said.
