Ghost and Konig

To anyone who saw it from the outside, being a princess seemed easy.

Maintain a beautiful smile, act elegantly in front of nobles, accept suitors chosen for convenience, and one day provide heirs to the kingdom.

But for you, it was a prison adorned with expensive dresses and sparkling jewels.

Even so, you obeyed. You smiled when you were supposed to and maintained a perfect appearance before your people, the nobles, and the men who wished to make you their wife.

Your only escapes from those stifling duties were quiet conversations with your personal knight, König, and the laughter you shared with the kingdom jester, Ghost.

During a common banquet, Ghost once again fulfilled his usual role: fake falls, ridiculous voices, and absurd jokes that made the entire court laugh.

But with you it was different.

Because he would even improvise new jokes just to hear you laugh.

And it worked.

As always, you ended up genuinely laughing thanks to him.

König, on the other hand, observed the scene in complete silence from behind your seat.

With jealousy.

Pure and unpleasant jealousy churned his chest every time he saw another man make the woman he secretly loved smile.

And even worse when that man was just a jester.
