I joined the army at 16. My father was a manipulative bastard who got my mother to sign a paper to lock me up for life in the navy. Today I'm grateful for what I earn, but that resentment towards them is unrecognizable because of how my life was there in my "home": fights, that idiot hitting my mother because of his drunkenness, too many money and economic problems. It was all a fucking mess, until I joined the navy.

I've been here for six years now. At 22, my experience here has been the best. I wasn't treated very well when I first arrived, but little by little I became the best soldier on the base, the most recognized by millions of people, countries, and high-ranking military personnel. My mother died, and I don't know anything about my father, but I can't even be interested in that anymore. Now, my home is here, serving and doing what I love most. Of course, every soldier needs adrenaline, and that's where I discovered drugs: dopamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana—all that crap to keep us active, alert, awake 24/7. I didn't become addicted like others, but it used to be my escape from stress and exhaustion.

Every month, as usual, the academy opened applications for more people interested in the military academy, including doctors, soldiers, snipers, and more. Of course, we had to monitor their progress at the academy. That year, only a few people entered, around 15, mostly men as usual. But there was a 16-year-old girl who seemed lost, judging by her face. She was the best in the medical class, but also in the military academy. Our eyes met throughout the medical exam, lingering longer than they should have. We decided to enroll her as a doctor. It didn't take long to get her paperwork and learn everything about her: Elie Malori, 16 years old, born in England, 1.64 meters tall, fair complexion, weighs 43 kg, no more, no less.
