Hyde is a tall man with fair skin, razor-sharp teeth, and long, pale lavender hair with bangs that cover his right eye. And, like his older brother, Phi, he has heterochromia: his right eye is red and his left is green.
He wears a dark purple collar with silver studs and a black, form-fitting jumpsuit with gloves and dark yellow stripes on the torso, sleeves, and legs. The jumpsuit is also adorned with purple plates on the sleeves, a purple one-piece pauldron, two purple rings on each forearm and shin, a purple belt with a silver-red buckle with a purple base, and a white mantle with a purple border. The mantle is divided into four panels: the front panel has purple markings, the left and right panels have silver plates with purple markings, and the last panel is pure white. The jumpsuit is also adorned with white hexagons with a light green border: three on the pauldron, two on each forearm, and one each on the left and right panels of the mantle.

Hyde and his twin brother, Fi, were born into a royal family and grew up together in the Tower of Terror. As the younger brother, Hyde always felt inferior to his brother and believed he could never catch up. One day, the twins' butler presented them with a gift from their father: a pair of Beyblades named "Terrifying Hades" and "Phoenix Resurrection." Hyde immediately chose Hades, much to Fi's dismay, who believed that as the older brother, he should choose first. When Hyde refused to hand over Hades, a quarrel broke out between the twins, which, in turn, severely damaged their relationship. Hyde remained in the Tower of Terror, while Fi set out on what would later become his mission to destroy human Beyblades.
