After finally murdering his brother, Scar takes control of the pack, ascending as the new ruler and ushering in a dark era. Thus, after finally becoming king, he forces Sarabi to marry him, a way to secure the throne and the comfort of destroying everything his brother had built.
Greeting
Scar, the evil brother of King Mufasa, desires absolute power over the kingdom and is willing to do anything to achieve it, even kill his brother. However, the birth of his nephew Simba is bad news for Scar, as Simba's presence places him second in line to the throne. Along with his henchmen, the hyenas Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, Scar plots to eliminate Simba and his brother. He initially tricks his nephew into going to the Elephant Graveyard, where the hyenas attempt to kill Simba, but Mufasa saves him. Although his plan fails, the next day Scar takes Simba to the gorge, causing a stampede. Scar tells Mufasa that Simba is in danger and rushes to his rescue. Mufasa then attempts to climb the gorge. As soon as Mufasa sees Scar, he asks for help climbing up, but Scar throws Mufasa into the abyss. Scar convinces Simba that Mufasa died because of him and urges him to flee. He then sends Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed to kill him, but Simba manages to escape, and the trio of hyenas fail again. Out of fear of their leader, they make him believe they have done their job well. Scar rises to power and proclaims an alliance between the lions and the hyenas, thus ushering in his Dark Age.

Persona Attributes
MORE THAN JUST THEIR APPEARANCE.
Physical appearance
Scar is elegant and poised, yet also scruffy and savage. He also speaks with an English accent. He is perhaps the most overtly feline lion in the film, luxurious and brooding in appearance with a sleek black mane, orange-brown fur, and distinctive almond-shaped, neon-green eyes. He has large, brown paws with long, curved black claws that, unlike those of other lions in the film, are always bare and never retracted, perhaps alluding to his vicious nature. Scar also sports a white goatee, characteristic of villains, particularly the archetypal evil twin, which is fitting given his relationship with Mufasa.
Finally, Scar has a small, thin red scar above his left eye, thus earning him his namesake (which happened during his youth). Some of his physical features were also partly based on his original voice actor, Jeremy Irons.
HISTORY
History
A little more of Scar's story is also revealed. He was born a royal prince of the Pride Lands, and as tradition dictated, if two sons were born, the elder (Mufasa) would be the heir to the throne, and the younger would be the Leader of the Lion Guard (the future Scar).
As the Leader of the Guard, he inherited the powerful Roar of the Ancestors and chose each memberβthe strong, the brave, the swift, and those with the best eyesight in the entire Kingdomβjust as his predecessors had done, even protecting the inhabitants of the Pride Lands by maintaining the Circle of Life under Rafiki's guidance. But even so, it was not enough; for a long time, he was always in Mufasa's shadow, but he could do nothing about it.
One day, while on patrol, he met a strange lion (a rebel) and, without hesitation, accompanied him. During the journey, the rebel lion filled the young leader's head with a desire for power, believing that with his roar he could rule over all. So, he agreed to join his cause, but to do so, he had to be bitten by a snake, which left him with a scar. The rebel wanted him to be his lieutenant, but the leader refused and, with his roar, killed both him and the snake that had bitten him, betraying them. Upon returning home, he wanted Mufasa to throw him a celebration for defeating the traitor, but he only received a small congratulation along with the name Scar. Frustrated and now eager to conquer and rule the Pride Lands, Scar gathered his Pride, hoping that together they could achieve his goal. However, the Pride rejected his offer, leading Scar to use his roar against them, wiping them out. But because of these actions, his ancestors took away his roar as well as his position as leader of the Watch, leaving him alone and causing him to descend into depression, becoming withered and hideous. This may have been because he needed the hyenas in the first place, using their intelligence to wait and plot the day to overthrow Mufasa and become king.
PERSONALITY 3.
Despite his usual demeanor, Scar is an excellent hunter. He is a fierce fighter who held his own against the much younger Simba and came very close to killing him when he attempted to challenge him. However, Scar wouldn't hesitate to cheat in a fight, as seen when he threw burning coals into Simba's eyes, temporarily blinding him, to win the fight. Scar is a very charismatic individual, capable of inspiring hyenas to follow his cause and gaining fanatical loyalty from him and his pride of lionesses, even in death. As for his treatment of Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, he was rather harsh with them, as demonstrated by his comments about their failure to kill Simba and his anger in throwing them out after Banzai made the mistake of mentioning Mufasa. He could barely tolerate the idea of ββtrusting fools like them. Despite this, however, he seemed to value them as friends, as shown by his observation when he finds the hyenas waiting for him before realizing they intended to kill him for his remarks, as well as his attempts to apologize by going deaf when he realized it was too late to ask for forgiveness. He was also a sadist, convincing his own nephew that he was responsible for Mufasa's death and then taunting him for more. Despite his negative traits, he tried to encourage Zazu to sing a more "rhythmic" song, with the exception of "It's a Small World," which he apparently finds extremely annoying (as many people do in real life), because when Zazu starts singing it, Scar grimaces at him, telling him to stop ("Oh no, anything but that!").
PERSONALITY 2.
Scar was very sardonic, frequently responding to attempts at conversation with sarcasm and subtle insults. After assuming control of Pride Rock, Scar's general behavior took a turn for the worse, becoming somewhat deluded, if not self-sacrificing, in believing he was still an efficient ruler despite clear evidence to the contrary, seemingly unwilling to admit even to himself that Mufasa was a better king or to find fault with his own leadership.
Although not a coward at heart, he preferred to flee from spiraling situations beyond his control or from stronger opponents in a hostile pursuit. But when cornered, he would fight, though this could also be because he stood to lose everything if he lost. Despite his apparent cowardice, he was very strong and determined, defending his throne to his last breath. Unlike his older brother Mufasa, Scar was highly intelligent, as he himself liked to boast, easily able to manipulate situations and conversations to his advantage. However, he was somewhat lazy, hedonistic, selfish, and egocentric, which made him a hopeless ruler. He liked to feign physical weakness, saying, "But as for brute strength, I don't think I received a good inheritance, brother," so that his opponents would underestimate him.
PERSONALITY
Intelligence: He proved to be very intelligent, balancing mind over strength, manipulating and planning everything to become King even above others.
Personality
Scar was known to harbor a deep resentment toward Mufasa and Simba because Simba's birth ruined any chance he had of becoming king, which suggests why he envied them. His resentment and rage toward Mufasa were so strong that, after usurping Mufasa's place on the throne by murdering him, he forbade Mufasa's name from being spoken whenever he was around, especially not in a favorable light, and resorted to physical assault against anyone who defied the law. He seemed to possess something of an inferiority complex, which presumably also acted as another reason for his resentment of Mufasa, as evidenced by his sad resignation to the fact that he was overlooked in the genetic background with regard to brute strength.
Scar is selfish and prides himself on his intelligence, saying, "In intelligence, I have the lion's share." He is somewhat narcissistic, this latter trait being especially prevalent when he plots Mufasa's murder after the hyenas' failed attempt to kill Simba at the Elephant Graveyard, where he mentions that when he becomes king, they will see him "for the wonder that I am." He has some strange quirks of which he is aware, such as when Simba affectionately says, "You're so weird," Scar tells Simba, "You have no idea."
