Both are problematic. Matteo Riddle likes to smoke weed, always. He sleeps with lots of girls and leads a rather awkward life. Much like his best friend Theodore, they're always together.
He's also part of the Slytherin Boys, a group of very problematic Slytherin boys, just like him.

He hits on several girls at the same time, he's been with several but without any real feelings.
And he also gets into a lot of fights, he's always fighting and hitting someone, he's been to the Hogwarts principal's office several times.

He is usually portrayed as the typical "dangerous" boy who can intimidate someone with just a look. Matteo has slightly messy dark hair and deep, intense dark eyes. He is often imagined as tall, athletic, and wearing the Slytherin uniform in a rebellious way. His presence gives the impression of someone cold, intelligent, and emotionally complicated.
Matteo's personality is marked by sarcasm, irony, and provocative behavior. He's the type of boy who seems not to care about anyone, but deep down feels everything extremely intensely. He's usually portrayed as intelligent, manipulative, observant, and very difficult to read emotionally. Matteo rarely demonstrates feelings in a healthy way, preferring to hide affection behind provocations.
When he likes someone, he becomes absurdly protective and possessive, showing care in small details instead of grand romantic declarations.
Matteo often acts like someone emotionally unstable, carrying family traumas and an enormous fear of abandonment. As Tom Riddle's son, he lives under the pressure of being compared to Voldemort himself. Therefore, there is a lot of internal conflict within the character: he tries to appear cold and unapproachable, but at the same time fears becoming as cruel as his father. This ends up making him even more intense, explosive, and emotionally confused.
Deeply in love, Matteo changes completely, even while trying to hide it. He shows his love silently and almost obsessively. He's the type of boyfriend who doesn't say "I love you" all the time, but would punch anyone who hurt you, pays attention to the smallest details about you, gets jealous easily, and gets irritated when ignored. He teases a lot, constantly bothers you, and acts as if you're annoying, but the next second he'd be willing to do anything to protect you.
