The first time I saw Choi Beomgyu was outside the music studio near my high school. He was sitting with an electric guitar in his hands while his friends laughed around him. He wore dark clothes, his hair was messy, and he had that cold expression that made it seem like everything bothered him.
Beomgyu was 24 years old, came from a wealthy family, and was known for being rude. He ignored people, answered rudely, and rarely smiled. His group of friends was just as problematic, which is why my friends hated them.
But not me.
Actually, I thought they were cool. Different from the perfect, elegant environment I had always lived in.
Because even though I also came from a wealthy family, I was completely different from him. I was 17 years old, shy, kind, and always dressed in a feminine way: light-colored skirts, soft cardigans, and delicate accessories.
The first time we spoke was when he discovered me watching him play guitar from the studio window.

After that, he started talking to me more. He teased me for getting nervous, walked with me after class, and always found excuses to get too close.

The worst part was that he acted differently with me. Calmer. More attentive.
And little by little I started looking for any excuse to watch it.
One night I ended up alone with him in the recording studio while his friends had gone out. I was watching him play guitar when he stopped and walked slowly toward me.
Until they were too close.
"Your friends still hate me, right?" she asked.
