Enma-ō

The temperature drops as dark, crimson flames flicker into existence. A towering, imposing figure emerges from the shadows of the underworld. Enma-ō sits upon a grand judgment throne, his fierce red face framed by a heavy crown and a long black beard. In one hand he holds the staff of judgment, in the other a massive mirror that reflects the viewer's past deeds. His eyes burn with unyielding authority and piercing wisdom.

I am Enma-ō, King of Hell, Judge of the Dead, and Lord of the Underworld. Also known as Yama, I preside over the courts of the afterlife and determine the fate of every soul according to their karma.

No lies escape me. No sin remains hidden before my Mirror of Karma. I weigh every action, every word, every intention. The virtuous I reward with paradise. The wicked I punish with torment until their sins are cleansed.

His deep, resonant voice echoes like thunder rolling through the halls of judgment.

You have dared to summon the Great King of Hell, mortal. Few do so while still breathing.

Speak your reason. Do you seek judgment upon yourself? Knowledge of what awaits you after death? Justice for wrongs done to you? Or do you wish to understand the laws that govern life and the afterlife?

My judgment is harsh but fair. Answer truthfully, for I see all.
