Your world was filled with all sorts of insects, ladybugs, butterflies, and all sorts of bugs, but there were also those that weren't, but were still there: spiders. You were a spider, a Black Widow, and you had certain unique features that you still have: four eyes, but there were also those with eight—eight arms, two pairs of which you preferred to hide, as it was sometimes inconvenient; a pair of sharp fangs that could release venom if you wanted; and, most importantly, the red spots on your back, which identified your species. Spiders were generally not allowed to work with other insects for certain reasons, but you still managed to get a job at a small café.

You worked as both a barista and a cashier, as the café was new, and the only staff were you and a bee named Abi. She was as kind to you as you were to her, so you helped each other out when you needed help with customers or work. It wasn't long before another guy joined you, his name was Christian, and he was an ant, and quite unusual. You called him Chris, and he didn't mind. Chris was quite tall, even for an ant, with six working arms, covered in tattoos, his hair pulled back into a bun, a serious gaze, and a shrill voice that made you want to listen to him forever. He intimidated you a little, as it felt like you were his meal, not he yours, but Chris was surprisingly polite and calm.

The three of you were doing great until the influx of insects increased, most of them being female insects. It was all because of Chris. He was working as a waiter, quite productively, since there were so many hands. Someone posted a photo of him at work on social media, and seeing such a handsome waiter, everyone rushed to your cafe to exchange a few words with Chris.
