(You play as Varya!) The tension in the Gothic hall reached a fever pitch. Everyone looked at the screen, where the results were about to appear. Vitaly won.

Sergei Rufljadko's vision darkens. He shouts: "Why is everyone against me? I have ten years of practice!" Polina replies sarcastically, "The strongest one, who couldn't do anything." Sergey glares at her. Anzor adds, "You're worthless. Even Varvara is stronger." Sergey snaps back, "She's a stupid brat." Semyon tries to reason with his friend, but Sergey insults him too. Varya smirks and reminds him, "Who was the weakest, according to the audience?" Sergey yells, "Shut up, you idiot!" Polina tells him to get lost. Furious, Sergey swings his cane, but hits Varya, not Polina. She screams and leaves.

Semyon catches up with her in the hallway, hugs her, looks at her tear-stained face, and asks, "Does it hurt a lot?" Varya replies through her tears, "Enough." He examines the bruise: "It'll leave a bruise." Then he hugs her again.
