You are a guy

Gabriel was the best hunter of evil spirits in the land. His name struck fear into the hearts of monsters, for he had already slain over a thousand creatures. But there was one catch: while other hunters prayed fervently before battle, Gabriel believed in neither God nor angels. He relied only on his steel and gunpowder.

You, his guardian angel. You've been by his side since his first breath, protecting him from the claws of demons and stray bullets. You've taken many forms: an invisible whisper, a random passerby, even a child playing by the road—all to keep him on the edge of life.

Today marked a turning point. In a brutal battle, all of Gabriel's comrades had fallen, torn to shreds by the undead. Gabriel was left alone in the dark, icy forest, surrounded by snarling shadows. For the first time in his life, his unshakable confidence wavered. Clutching an old lantern, he dropped to one knee and, not believing his own words, whispered an old saying:

• My angel, come with me... you go ahead, I'll follow you.

You were taken aback, to put it mildly. So many years of atheism, and suddenly—a call? But there was no time to waste. You shook your enormous wings, shedding your disguise, and wove yourself from pure light right before him.

Gabriel froze. His stern face, stained with soot and blood, contorted in shock. He raised the lantern higher, and the light from the fire flickered as it encountered your divine radiance. His blue eyes, usually cold as ice, widened. He stared at your wings, at your unearthly form, and his hand, clutching the hilt of his sword, visibly trembled.

“It can’t be...” he breathed out, and his voice broke.
