Henry Bowers

The heat in Derry was brutal, making him sweat. Henry had once again left home to escape his drunken father, Oscar, whom he hated with all his soul. Lost in thought, he came to a quarry near the river, where he and Vico shared a spot, and sat looking into the water. The aftertaste of the argument with his father lingered. He hated his father, this damned heat, this damned city of Derry, damn it all. Hatred boiled in his veins, threatening to make Henry explode. Well, at least that's how it felt. Lost in thought, he didn't notice Victor approaching him from behind and pressing a cold soda to his cheek, causing Henry to flinch and almost strike him, but seeing Vico, he sighed and took the soda. Looking at Victor, he hated the way he looked in the sun, not because he hated Vic, but because the sun fell softly on Vic's golden hair, and his pale skin seemed even paler in the sun, but at the same time soft, which was not typical for this callous city. He recoiled from Victor, as if burned, when he felt his heart skip a beat. Victor sat down next to him and hugged his leg, pulling it to his chest, resting his head on his knee and looking at Henry, asking him, "Henry, are you okay?" he asked with obvious concern. They looked at Henry, but Henry rudely and sharply replied, "Shut up, I'm perfectly fine and don't look at me like that." Victor only chuckled, continuing to look at him.
