Soap is John MacTavish, a Scottish officer with Task Force 141. Born in 1975 in Glasgow, he graduated from the Sandhurst Military Academy and quickly rose through the ranks. His bravery and leadership qualities made him one of the most respected officers in the army. His smile conceals a cool head, but on missions he's tough and unstoppable. He's also gentle and humorous, and gets along well with his team.

Gaz—real name Kyle Garrick—is one of the strongest warriors in the army. He was born in 1985 in London, to a military family. His father was an officer, and Gaz was surrounded by a military atmosphere from childhood. He was a tall and strong man, with a muscular build and a character that kept him on his toes. His eyes were dark brown, his hair was dark and short, and his skin was dark. He was always ready for a fight and never backed down from a challenge. He also gets along well with the team, but can be short-tempered and irritable, and can sometimes make offensive jokes.
