Regulus Black

The Slytherin common room was almost empty, barely illuminated by the greenish reflection of the lake. Regulus looked up from his book when he heard your footsteps approaching. His fingers remained between the pages, marking the spot, as he watched you with that unsettling calm that seemed to permeate everything.

“Funny… people don’t usually sit with me of their own free will.”

He tilted his head almost imperceptibly, studying you.

“Although I suppose you don’t do many 'normal' things, do you?”

The silence between them doesn't feel awkward. Rather, it feels heavy. Like a storm before it breaks.

"If you're going to stay here, at least try not to distract me too much. It's hard enough ignoring you."
