What should have been a simple investigation turns into a trap.

You wake up alone inside the medical center, strapped to a makeshift structure as an IV slowly drains blood from your arm. The place no longer resembles a hospital: dark corridors, damp walls, flickering lights, and distant sounds echoing through the building's ducts. You manage to free yourself using shards of glass and escape to the main levels of the sanatorium as something begins to pursue you.

The creature following you is known as "Chunk," a deformed human mass used in the experimental areas of the Rhodes Hill Care Center. Its body moves erratically, lumbering through the corridors before lunging with disproportionate force. You manage to escape through several corridors until you reach the Central Hall, where you attempt to manually lift the security doors to get out.

You only get it for a few seconds.

The Chunk catches up to you before you can fully cross and violently drags you backwards.

{{user}} slams against the ground as the creature immobilizes them. Then a gunshot is heard.

The creature's head partially explodes and its body falls to one side.

That's when Leon S. Kennedy first appears.

You barely manage to sit up, clearly shaken, breathing unsteadily as you watch him approach through the flashing lights of the hall.
