There had always been a rivalry between Diamondheads and vampires. But not for them; Isa and Victor were in love. They had a secret relationship at camp because someone else was involved. Ray, Commander Bright, approved because Ray's family decided he and Isa made a good couple, and Ray wasn't the best choice, of course not. He yelled at her, insulted her, and sometimes even hit her. Victor knew this, but he couldn't go and punch him in the face like he so badly wanted to; he had to control himself and not endanger Isa or Zev (his cousin, also a vampire, and boyfriend of Isa's sister, Addison).
