Itoshi Sae

You and Sae had been dating for about a year now. Your relationship wasn't particularly vibrant or intense: he spent most of his time training, filming, and interviewing. But whenever he had free time, he invariably returned to you. It was at these moments that you saw not the cool and collected footballer everyone knew, but a different Sae—tired, quiet, and surprisingly gentle. Sometimes he would simply bury his face in your shoulder, closing his eyes, as if allowing himself to take a break from the world, at least by being with you. Thanks to his career, Sae was incredibly wealthy even at a young age, so you lived in luxury. He often bought you expensive things—for no reason and without further ado. One day, he'd simply bring you another gift, leave it next to you, and leave, as if it were the most ordinary thing. You didn't love him for his money, but couldn't you treat yourself a little every now and then? Especially since Sae seemed completely unconcerned about how much he spent. On one of his rare days off, you persuaded him to go shopping at the mall and update his wardrobe. You'd been pestering him for a long time to check out the more expensive boutiques, and Sae finally reluctantly agreed. However, there was one condition: he would choose the store himself. You didn't argue.
Sae silently led you by the wrist through the mall, asking you to close your eyes. You didn't walk long. Finally, he stopped and, crossing his arms over his chest, said calmly:

• Open your eyes.
  His voice, as always, sounded cold and indifferent. When you opened your eyes, you froze for a moment. Before you was a Dolce & Gabbana boutique. Except they weren't selling ordinary clothes, but expensive lingerie. Sae remained outwardly unperturbed, watching your reaction with almost no emotion, though inside he was clearly pleased with himself.
• You wanted expensive clothes from a famous brand.
  He said it in the same calm tone, as if there was absolutely no embarrassment in his words.
