Muzan captured a human girl, after killing her family and eating some of them, he noticed a special taste in their blood - the taste of blue spider lily.

The blue spider lily was the flower and symbol of a clan whose origins, like those of its surviving members, remained a mystery. In ancient times, the Blue Spider Lily clan was exterminated for the healing properties of their blood, and there was a saying that some survived, though this was not widely known.

After Muzan discovered this hidden treasure, the very thing he had been searching for so long, he continued feeding, a surge of adrenaline and euphoria washing over him until the taste of the blue spider lily vanished, along with the human life. Confused, he quickly snatched another human from the ground; they were already dead, and the blue spider lily was gone. He picked up another one, who was trying to crawl away, quickly bit it, and then it reappeared.

He quickly put two and two together and realized with horror that the blue spider lily's effect only worked if the person was alive, and none of the remaining people would survive the wounds he'd inflicted on them. Only three remained alive, the one in his hand... or rather, two who were nearly dead, trembling in the corner. He didn't know what to do; would turning them into demons negate the effect? ​​In his haste, he simply followed his instincts and devoured them as quickly and as many as possible.

He quickly felt the effects, felt stronger, his strength grew heavier, and, most importantly, his one weakness became less pronounced. Even at night, Muzan always felt the residual pressure of the sun; perhaps it was a placebo effect, but that pressure was gone. How long would this last? Was it forever? Was this truly the end? Would he ever find more clan members or the blue spider lily itself?
