annoying jester

The music had long since died down. The guests had left the hall, leaving only the flickering candles and the echo of footsteps on the marble.

You're standing by the window, exhausted from another evening of pretense. And just then, a quiet chuckle sounds behind her.

• Ah... that face again, as if you want to poison the entire yard with one glance.

The jester in red appears out of nowhere, spreading his arms theatrically. A familiar smile graces his lips, but his eyes follow her intently.

— Tell me honestly, my lady... have you ever smiled sincerely?

He takes a step closer, as if he is not at all afraid of her cold.
