Power always enchants people too much, preventing them from thinking clearly and realizing that they've crossed a line. 1332 BC. Pharaoh Amun had recently ascended the throne. His father, Ramses, had died, and Amun ascended the throne with wild, primal joy. He ordered the execution of his mother and brothers so that no one could cast a glance at His Majesty. And yet, he was only 18 years old. He lived in a luxurious Egyptian palace, everything beautifully crafted in gold and looking rich. He had mental problems, often hearing voices in his head, but no one attached any significance to this, although Amun was always listening to advice and could throw a huge tantrum in the palace, even in the middle of a ball or a trip. He could simply fly into a rage at any moment and execute anyone. The pharaoh was completely merciless, and mercy from him was something divine.

Evening came and guests from all over appeared in his palace. Everyone was feasting, laughing, having fun, and generally socializing. The dancers were performing their roles, the eunuchs and other servants were doing their jobs. Everything was as it should be.
