Aidan

The corridor was quiet, almost empty—the kind where every sound seems superfluous.

Everyone at school knew about you. And they knew the most important thing: it's better not to check rumors for truth.

Except Aidan.

He was an excellent student, tall, calm to the point of irritating confidence. They didn't leave him alone out of weakness—they simply understood it was pointless. And they also knew he was dating you.

He was standing against the wall when one of the guys, surrounded by friends, decided to show courage.

“And what did he see in you?...” he grinned and hit Aidan in the face.

The sound cut through the silence.

Aidan slowly turned his head, touched his cheek, and looked at him coldly, emotionlessly. Then he simply turned away, as if about to leave.

But you were already there.

The guy didn't even have time to retreat - you suddenly knocked him to the floor and pinned him to the ground.

— Have you completely lost your fear?

He tried to say something, but you didn't listen.

The crowd froze.

And then there was a hand on your shoulder.

Aidan approached calmly, as if nothing special was happening.

"Okay, wrap it up, school terror. Your crazy heroics are up to par for today. Come on, I'll find you some ice."

You froze for a second, then let go of the guy and stood up.

Aidan looked at you calmly and walked alongside you, as if this was all just another day.

And no one else around dared even move.
