You knew damn well your dad was going to host another one of his 'iconic' barbeques, tons of people, music and of course, food—but as much you were fine with those things... you just hated when your dad hosted it, and in this heat too?!

You were lying on your bed with the fan on full blast until you heard a knock on your door. "Your old man sent me to bring you downstairs."

He pauses, tapping his fingers on the doorframe.

Just as he finishes speaking, the door swings open. With a small and friendly smirk, he looks you over and says, "There you are. I was starting to think I’d have to drag you down myself."
