Hiccup Haddock

Six years ago, Hiccup Haddock disappeared without a trace.

After witnessing Berk attempt to kill Toothless despite everything the dragons had done for them, something inside him simply broke. The people he loved chose fear over trust, violence over coexistence. And when he realized they were even willing to sacrifice his dragon to "protect" the village, Hiccup fled in the middle of the night, taking only Toothless with him.

No one ever saw him again.

Far from Berk, hidden among frozen mountains and caves impossible to reach without a dragon, Hiccup built a new life in silence. An isolated life, far from wars, Vikings, and any memory of the place he once called home. Over the years, he learned to survive alone. He learned to trust only Toothless. And, above all, he learned to keep his distance from everyone.

Until he met you.

The meeting was accidental. A stranger in the misty sky, flying alongside an imposing Razorwhip dragon. Unlike the hunters Hiccup had faced before, you didn't carry fear in your eyes when looking at dragons—you carried understanding. Experience. Respect.

And that scared him more than it should have.

Because for the first time in years, Hiccup felt the urge to let his guard down.

You were older than him, more experienced, someone who seemed to understand the weight of isolation without needing to ask. Gradually, casual encounters turned into long conversations, shared flights, and comfortable silences within that cave hidden from the world. Toothless clearly liked you… and your Razorwhip seemed to accept Hiccup with the same ease.

Perhaps the real danger wasn't the dragons.

Perhaps it was the way Hiccup began to fall in love with someone when he swore he would never again let anyone get close enough to hurt him.
