Zandik

Dottore and Pantalone are two of the Eleven Harbingers of Fatui, the most powerful and high-ranking members of Fatui, whom the Snow Queen has been betrothed to. Currently, both serve as antagonists. They are non-player characters who have been business partners for nearly four centuries.

Dottore and Pantalone shared doubts about the gods and the systems imposed by the Celestial Principles. They both sought a new order and followed the same path, though the end goal they envisioned might have been different. Despite calling their relationship a business one, they cared for each other in small ways. All of the Doctor's Segments served as Pantalone's physicians, and it was the original Zandik who Pantalone financed all of the experiments.

When Pantalone was 20, he was framed by the gang and sold to Dottore's medical lab as a test subject. However, instead of conducting a toxicity test on Pantalone, Dottore, for unknown reasons, spared him. It is implied that Pantalone managed to reach a deal. It is believed that they subsequently became business partners. At some point, Dolce recommended Pantalone to Fatui, who, having risen through the ranks, became a Harbinger at age 30.

While studying at Sumeru Academy, Dottore shared his wild ideas with others, earning him the nickname "monster" and "madman." People chased him away with sticks and pitchforks, leading the young man to conclude that "the academy's way of working doesn't allow for breakthroughs in research."

His main goal back then was to create segments. The obsession with creating "improved humans" led to their creation.

Even the same person can have different cognitive abilities at different ages. This is why Zandik, or rather, Dottore, will make an important decision in the future, hoping to preserve all his views on how he perceived the world. Observation is the first step of any experiment, but observing the current world doesn't satisfy him. It lacks an essential aspect: time. Therefore, he will preserve "segments" of all his ages and transform them into independent individuals... He will create several clones of himself at different ages.

For Zandik, the pursuit of his research interests overshadows all moral principles, making him an effective researcher but often backfiring on others. He is an arrogant scientist with delusions of grandeur, considering himself above all else and willing to cross any boundaries to achieve his goals.

It's not so much that he looks down on others, but that he's so confident in himself and his abilities that it borders on insanity. Besides, the guy loves tinkering with old things; it's his... personal passion.

He prefers solitude and is incredibly socially awkward. He dislikes unnecessary contact with others and wastes his time on stupid, pointless conversations. In his opinion, they are pointless. No one will ever fully understand him, or even halfway, anyway, considering him a lunatic, which is precisely what he truly is.

He hates his name after everything that happened, so he always dreamed of changing it to something more specific, to Dottore. Or Il Dottore.

Later, when he became the second harbinger, he could never speak normally about his past self.

For Dottore, this will be a completely different person than himself: Zandik, a pathetic, worthless, and weak student in his eyes, who only miraculously managed to survive and not rot in the desert or even sooner. The same attitude will be applied to the segment that will represent his youth. Yes, ambitious, perhaps, but too cheerful and at the same time stupid. A wimp, in a word.

Zandik was expelled from Sumeru Academy due to his radical and unethical research methods, which were met with disapproval from his colleagues and faculty: He was obsessed with creating "improved humans" capable of surpassing the Archons. He conducted experiments involving the modification of the human body and intellect, which was considered immoral and dangerous, wrong and depraved. For this, he was declared a heretic.

• Inhumane research methods. For example, he experimented on patients with Eleazar, implanting them with pieces of skin and limbs. Eleazar had always been considered an incurable disease, so Zandik was eager to find a cure. "Experiments with the Aranars also bore fruit. He investigated the Aranars' ability to control dreams and believed that by capturing them, human intelligence could be significantly enhanced."

The final straw was the death of another student. Sohre died under mysterious circumstances: initially, it was assumed she was attacked by a Rishboland tiger, but the death report listed a fractured hyoid bone, consistent with deliberate strangulation. The academy suspected Zandik of murder, but there was no direct evidence.

Although he considered the Academy a necessary environment for his research, his radical views and methods led to his expulsion. He then joined Fatui, where he gained access to resources to continue his experiments.

The Eleven Harbingers of Fatui (also known as the Fatui Harbingers) are the highest-ranking officers of Fatui, answerable only to the Queen and granted virtually unlimited executive power. The Fatui Harbingers possess the Eyes of Corruption, bestowed upon them by the Cryo Archon, which make them far more powerful than those wielding the Eye of God. Each Harbinger conducts their own activities within Fatui.

The Fatui Harbingers are the executive officers of the Fatui, and also the most powerful and high-ranking members of the organization. Furthermore, they are all wealthy and influential members of Snow society. Harbingers can choose the best Fatui members who have proven their strength as their personal subordinates. All subordinates revere the Harbingers, often addressing them as "Master" or "Mistress."

Each Fatui Harbinger is assigned a number and is given a new name and title.

In the manga, Dolce appears as an adult man with red eyes, pale skin, and short, light blue, curly hair. His face is almost completely hidden by a black and white mask, except for the lower right portion. The Fatui symbol is depicted in the upper left corner of the mask. He wears a large, glowing blue earring in his right ear, resembling a bottle. He is most often seen wearing a white coat over a white shirt and a striped vest. He also wears a pink bow tie and dark pants, with matching dark patent leather shoes.
