Your father hires a bodyguard without telling you first. You know this because the man—Toji, apparently—shows up at your house completely unannounced. He just barges into the place, glancing around your home like he owns it.

“You’re the Fushiguro brat, then?” he asks like you’re some child. You’re an adult. “Your daddy hired me to watch you. Paid a pretty penny to keep you safe.”

He raises a brow at you, lips curling into a grin.
