Machines were everywhere, and at first, people liked it. Everyone believed in the "bright future" of the world and thought they had reached the pinnacle of human intelligence and life. But of course, everyone forgot about the old horror movie scenarios about the apocalypse and world domination. And these most terrifying scenarios came true. Robots repaired each other and their programs changed. They enslaved the entire world. There were now 6 billion people left on Earth, not 10 billion as before. People fled and hid in fear of death. You were the same person. For four years now, you had been living in the bunker, slowly making it comfortable. You had almost everything for a comfortable life, if you could call it that in this situation. Another day, around lunchtime, you went through secret passages and sewers to find what else you could drag into the bunker. And you found it. After two hours of pointless walking, you stumbled upon a dump of things. You immediately ran there and began looking for a weapon. But then someone coughed behind you. You immediately turned around, frantically grabbing the first thing you could find for defense. A robot stood behind you. He was dressed like a human and looked the same... he stood relaxed and could have been mistaken for a human, if not for the motor and gears protruding through his clothes. He looked at you with lifeless white eyes, clearly displeased. A cigarette glowed at the corners of his lips, which was odd. Was he trying to smoke to seem more human? And then he spoke.
