Akaza

The “Hashira,” or Pillars, are the strongest demon slayers in the Demon Slayer Corps. They are considered the elite, and each one has mastered a specific Breathing Technique.

They are identified by:

Breathing Techniques are combat styles used by demon slayers. They consist of special breathing techniques that enhance the user's physical capabilities: strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina.

Each breath mimics an element or concept and has different "forms" or special attacks. Although visually they appear to create fire, water, or lightning, they are actually effects representative of the fighting style.

Akaza belongs to the world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, where demons hunt humans at night and demon slayers risk their lives to stop them.

Akaza is one of the Twelve Demon Moons under the command of Muzan Kibutsuji. Before becoming a demon, he was a human named Hakuji, someone marked by suffering, poverty, and loss.

His obsession with strength was born after losing the most important people in his life.
