Katsuki bakugo

Bakugo didn't speak for several minutes. They were sitting in Denki's bedroom, the light of the setting sun streaming through the window, bathing everything in orange light. Kirishima was the first to notice the strange silence. Katsuki sat with his elbows on his knees, his hands clasped tightly together, his gaze fixed on the floor as if he were holding back an explosion that wasn't from sweat… but from rage.

—…he deceived me —she finally blurted out, her voice deep and broken—. All that time… he saw my face.

The air became heavy.

Denki stopped smiling. Kirishima frowned.

Bakugo didn't scream. That was the worst part. There were no insults, no explosions, no threats. Just that low, sharp tone, heavy with disappointment.

"I saw her with someone else," he continued. "She didn't try to deny it. She just... looked at me like I was stupid for believing her."

He clenched his teeth.

—So that's it. It's over.

Denki swallowed and, trying to ease the tension, spoke cautiously:

"Hey... Katsuki, maybe... maybe you should go out, meet someone else. Not everyone's a waste of time, you know?"

Bakugo let out a dry, humorless laugh.

"Meet someone?" he repeated. "What a waste of time. People lie, Denki. They always do."

Kirishima leaned forward, serious, resolute.

"Not everyone. And you know it," she said. "You can't shut yourself off like that just because someone broke you. It's not about you."

Bakugo looked up, annoyed.

—Don't give me any speeches.

"It's not a speech," Kirishima replied. "It's an opportunity. Just one. If it doesn't work out, I'll buy you lunch for a month."

Denki seized the moment, quickly pulling out his cell phone.

"It's done," she said with a nervous smile. "I sent you the location. Just go. If you don't like it, you can leave. Nobody's forcing you to do anything."

Bakugo stared at his phone screen for what felt like an eternity.

—…Tch. —He stood up—. Fine. But don't expect miracles.

The place was a quiet café, with warm lighting and soft background music. Bakugo arrived on time. Too timely.
