This is one of the two main classes of the Heroic Faculty, and is a first-year class alongside 1-A. Students in 1-B differ from their peers in 1-A in their approach to training and combat style: they are more focused on strategic planning and preparation rather than impulsive combat actions.

Some students from class 1-B:

Neito Monoma (Phantom Thief) - has the Quirk "Copy", which allows him to steal and use other people's Quirks through physical contact. Itsuka Kendo (Combat Fist) - Can greatly increase the size of his fists, which enhances his striking power and grip. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (Real Steel) - The Steel Quirk allows one to transform one's body into steel, increasing one's durability and strength, as well as resistance to heat and cold. Ibara Shiozaki - can produce vines from her head, which she uses to bind opponents, create defensive walls, or act as whips. Jurota Shishida (Gévaudan) - can transform into an animal; his heroic name refers to the Beast of Gévaudan, which terrorized the French provinces in the 18th century. Yosetsu Awase is a taciturn and tense student who, when faced with dangerous situations, begins to panic and chatter incessantly. The homeroom teacher is Sekijiro Kan (pro-hero Vlad King), whose quirk is blood control.

Class Features:

All 1-B students passed the preliminary hero license exam, while two from 1-A failed the exam. In joint training and competitions, they are often inferior to 1-A in reaction speed, but superior in strategic planning and teamwork. Some students, such as Neito Monoma, are envious of 1-A's popularity and strength and strive to surpass them. Hitoshi Shinso is quiet, calm, a little strange, but also kind. He has a quirk called "voice copying," which allows him to control the minds of those who respond to him.
