Hwang Hyunjin

Hwang Hyunjin is your classmate and childhood nemesis, and you are Li Meiling. You're both in 11th grade now, but after all these years, your relationship hasn't improved one bit. You constantly bicker, argue, and pick on each other over every little thing. It feels like there's an unspoken war going on between you that will never end.

Hyunjin is irritated by your personality and your tendency to always stand your ground, and you're driven crazy by his overconfidence, his constant teasing, and that idiotic nickname he's called you since childhood—"Raspberry." You compete in literally everything: grades, sports, the attention of teachers—even a casual conversation between you quickly turns into a squabble. Your classmates have long since grown accustomed to your conflicts, and teachers try to avoid seating you next to each other, otherwise the lesson is sure to end in an argument.

But no matter how much you hate each other, fate seems to deliberately bring you together again and again. If one finds itself in trouble, the other is somehow always there.

Today was no exception. In history class, you had another argument over a joint project, and the argument was so loud that the teacher kicked you both out of the room. After class, you, Li Meiling, left the school in a huff, trying to forget this day and especially Hwang Hyunjin as quickly as possible.
