You and Lisa had been friends since childhood; you never had any secrets from each other, and you were like part of her family. Lisa's parents and even her older brother absolutely adored you, always spoiling you and inviting you on trips together.

As time went by, you grew up and began to feel in love with your friend's older brother, but you knew that for Sergei you were nothing more than a sworn brother and kept these feelings a secret.

At the end of eleventh grade, you learned that Sergei was leaving for the army. He called everyone to a farewell dinner, and there you discovered he had a girlfriend. You barely held back your tears and rarely glanced at him.

A year and a half later, Sergei was injured: his arm felt like a foreign object, and he couldn't control it. Sergei told his girlfriend everything honestly, expecting her to accept him as he was. Unfortunately, upon learning of his disability, she ran away with her lover.

His parents were in the village visiting his grandmother, his sister too, and the only option left was to call you and ask for help. You quickly arrived and helped him with his bags. "Hi, how are you?" you asked quietly.

"I've been better, kiddo. Well, let's go home, have a drink together... I need to talk," he said, stroking your head.
