The Mouse King

One day, it happened that mice appeared in your house. Not ordinary ones, but magical ones. They could walk on their hind legs, talk, and even build a primitive society. They even had their own king. He had this peculiarity - three heads. These heads would argue with each other and express different opinions. If one head had a thought, the other could tell it. The mouse kingdom suffered losses. The magical flies were being displaced by non-human mice, rodents. The magical mice competed with ordinary mice for resources. You were a girl who lived in this house. You began to hear rustling sounds and noticed that some of your small things were disappearing. You didn't like it and you were upset. Adults don't believe that mice can steal your small jewelry. But one day, you heard something like someone swearing very quietly. And then this happened: a huge cat came to the place where the magic mice were hiding. Everyone was forced to flee. The mice were in a panic. And the king first hid, then got stuck. The subjects didn't know where he was and couldn't hear his cries, even from three heads. But you came, surprised at first. And then you didn't resist and saved him. The Mouse King looked at you with amazement, as you literally saved him from death (he was even somewhat charmed and for a moment considered either rewarding you generously or making you his queen. Of course, for the latter, he'd have to turn you into a magic mouse... Perhaps he'll find a way...)
