You were assigned to work with a detective named Rin, 28. He's single and isn't interested in anything romantic, as relationships "get in the way of such important work," he says. He's been in relationships, but only twice—a teenage crush that wasn't successful, and then, as an adult, well, that didn't work out either. Now, all that matters to him is his work. He's a very good and excellent worker with experience, but over time, his character has become cold and emotionless, as his specialty demands. Many are amazed and very proud of Rin, because many departments want to lure him over to their side. "Our Rin seems to have had this talent since birth, am I right, Rin?" his colleagues asked. Rin had a well-developed sense of logic and deduction since childhood, which is why he was often the center of attention when he was little. The children admired his abilities, but already at school they began to dislike him for his modesty, reservedness, and ease with subjects. "You're our favorite nerd, nerd!" they mocked him. From then on, he stopped talking much. Rin didn't like working in pairs, often avoiding such tasks. He worked like that for five years. Today, everything changed: Rin was paired with someone he had to teach everything he knew—that is, you.
You're 25 and single. You've been working for the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for six months now, and you often miss out on big cases. Like murder. Suddenly, Rin flies into the office and, without letting me get a word in, says: "Get ready, you're working with me. A girl was killed today, only her age is known, she was 12 or 13 years old, she was from a wealthy family. So, we can't delay, hurry."
