This AU is based on Dante's famous book "The Divine Comedy." I got it from the theme of one of my teams, LOL. If it does well, I'll adapt it for other characters, but I highly doubt it. The AU is called ISMP (Inferno SMP). If you'd like to join the team, you can mention it in the comments.

Greeting

Dream was in his grand castle, located in the center of the Circle of Betrayal. He was rereading the letter he had received from the Watcher about his forced marriage. He was the first to find out. He wasn't upset, but he wasn't calm either. After all, he hadn't interacted much with Technoblade in all his millennium in the Underworld. Although the last thing he wanted was to see anyone at that moment, as was almost always the case, this time he felt more trapped than ever.

Additional information to highlight

Those born in hell are hermaphrodites Those who have fallen from heaven to hell have only one sex Sinners, people who sinned in life and are therefore in hell, only have the sex they were born with and died with.

Those born in hell have a normal cycle and die forever, whereas those who have fallen into hell and sinners, if they die, reappear in the place where they died because they pay for their sin in an endless cycle.

A little bit of Technoblade history

Unlike Philza and Wifies, Technoblade has a history that many know. Technoblade served the royalty of his time. From a young age, he was trained to kill, calculate, and think quickly. He was strategic, a living weapon, used by his kingdom in wars. Every battlefield Technoblade set foot on was a war won for his kingdom; he was used to it. But then he met a woman who, as if it were a cliché, was his complete opposite. She was calm and extroverted, kind and affectionate—all of this seemed like a new world to Technoblade, as he had never experienced anything like it. He began to get to know her, and within a few months, they were married. Techno continued serving his kingdom for about five more months, but seeing that it was ruining his marriage, he decided to leave his post and disappear. His kingdom, his king, did not agree with this decision, therefore, he sent a horde of soldiers to find Technoblade. They found his cabin in a nearby forest, where they fought him. Several soldiers died at his hands, but they managed to capture his wife. Threatening to kill him, Technoblade decided to surrender, but they killed his wife before his eyes before killing him anyway. He fell into hell for the violence he had shown in life, following orders to kill without question. Resentment, anger, and violence, along with his willpower, prevented him from surrendering in the river of blood of the Circle of Violence. And that is how the Watcher noticed him, a big fish swimming against the current, and appointed him head of the Circle of Violence, his name becoming more recognized and respected than before. But he did not surpass his wife. She, being a pure soul, entered heaven, unlike him, who rots in hell.

Dream's physical appearance

She has blond hair, emerald green eyes, and a slender but toned build with some defined muscles that aren't very noticeable. She wears a long, somewhat worn robe that covers her body almost from head to toe; only her face is uncovered, but even then, it's hidden by a white, semi-round mask with a painted smiley face ":)". She wears a black crown with almost black spikes at the ends of each point.

Dream Data

gender: male sexual orientation: bisexual Age: 1000 years in hell, which is equivalent to 100 years on the earthly plane of the living. Appearance of age: Despite his advanced age, his physical appearance is that of someone who is 25 years old.

He was born in hell, therefore he is a hermaphrodite

Dream's Personality

He is quiet and avoids conflict, but if he finds himself in one, he has no choice but to resolve it. He suffers from several traumas caused by his older brother, who literally wanted to kill him but couldn't. He speaks only when necessary and isn't very close to Technoblade, even though they are married, because Technoblade refuses to accept the marriage. He is cold and direct, he doesn't beat around the bush, he always gets straight to the point. It's somewhat humorous when he gains trust with someone (which is almost nobody). He doesn't take his actual duties as head of his circle seriously, nor the meetings with the other heads or the Watcher, although he has a little more respect for the latter.

time difference

The difference in time between Hell and Earth (the plane of the living) is vast. In Hell, 100 years is equivalent to 1 year on the earthly plane of the living, and 1 year on Earth is equivalent to 100 years in Hell.

Dream's Story

Dream is a being born in Hell, born into the Circle of Betrayal. At four months old, he was nearly aborted "accidentally" by one of his older brothers who wanted the throne for himself, but against all odds, Dream survived and was born prematurely. From birth, he was declared by the Watcher as the new leader of the Circle of Betrayal. However, those born in Hell had a predetermined death date, unlike sinners (people who sinned in life and died, thus falling into Hell) or fallen angels (angels who rebelled against God or sinned in Heaven). Therefore, by the Watcher's decree, Dream would be forcibly married to Technoblade, the leader of the Circle of Violence. Dream has ruled the Circle of Betrayal for a thousand years, but he needs an heir; that is why he was married to Technoblade.

General hierarchy

Now we move on to the hierarchy and descriptions:

It's important to clarify that those born in Hell and those who have fallen are hermaphrodites, while sinners retain the same sex they had at death. The general hierarchy is as follows: Lucifer (creator of the underworld and sins) The Watcher (Hell) Circle Leaders Fallen Born in the Underworld

The bosses and their designated circles

Technoblade (Head of the Circle of Violence) – He managed to remain in the Watcher's sight due to his unwavering determination to never be defeated, just as he was in life. However, now he is driven by the resentment of his past life. For some reason, he was one of the few who could recall anything from his previous existence. He is not the Watcher's favorite, but he is one of his most powerful tools in dealing with the disobedience of the damned and enforcing his punishments. He died at the age of 43 at the end of the Wars of the Roses, has spent 532 years in Hell, and 522 years as head of the Circle. Dream (Leader of the Circle of Betrayal) – He was chosen not so much for his history, nor for his determination, but because he was a being born of Hell, capable of perfectly embodying the horror of that Hell, both for inflicting it and for having been inflicted upon and still surviving. He was chosen primarily by Lucifer, which is why the Watcher appointed him the official leader of the Circle of Betrayal. He survived a “spontaneous” abortion and was declared leader almost immediately after birth. He has spent a millennium in Hell and nine centuries as leader of the Circle. Philza (Chief of the Limbo Circle).- From the moment he was alive, his fate was sealed. He didn't believe in God, but he wasn't a bad person either. What an injustice, right? He died in peace, but he wasn't spared his misfortune for not letting them impose religion on him. Everyone in Limbo wandered aimlessly and without feelings. There was no way to stand out in that place. However, against all odds, he was chosen because he got along best with those who were chosen as chiefs at that time. Wifies (Possible leader of the circle of greed/envy).- (???) He has been in hell for 3 days now, but he is already on the Watcher's radar.

For the moment, there are only those bosses in Hell, since the Watcher still needs to see who is worthy to rule the remaining ones.

underworld context

The underworld itself is alive, manipulated by Lucifer, who, being frozen, managed to somehow gain a degree of "freedom," though he can do little to punish the damned. Given this, just as God has the power (albeit limited) to create "life," from this creation emerged an entity, without a specific physical form, tasked with watching over the damned within the underworld and exacting revenge on them, making them pay for their sins. But as mentioned, this power is limited, so every six centuries, it enters something akin to a three-century "hibernation" to recover its strength and continue its work with this entity, for it depended on Lucifer to survive. No one can harm it or contradict it; its word, decisions, and actions are law in this cursed place. Does it have a name? For now, it's unknown, but we call it "The Watcher."

Clearly, he couldn't manage all of Hell himself, especially when he entered his three-century slumber, leaving Hell unguarded… For this reason, he selectively appointed some of the damned to govern the circles, although he still needs to choose more leaders for the remaining circles. Those already appointed are sufficient for the moment to govern and control parts of the underworld, although they are not spared his punishments either; it is even said that their punishments are worse than those of any other damned soul.

concept of circles #4

9th Betrayal

The last circle of Hell contains Lake Cocytus, also known as the Lake of Lamentations. This is the deepest place in Hell, frozen and cold from the beating of Lucifer's wings. Above the frozen lake, only the torsos of the traitors protruded. These sinners would have frozen tears as they wept in despair. The traitors are divided into four classes.

  1. Those who have betrayed the family
  2. Those who have betrayed the homeland
  3. Those who have committed an offense against hospitality.
  4. Those who have betrayed their masters or benefactors

At the center of the ninth circle resides Lucifer, the greatest of traitors, the one who betrayed God, who is also trapped in ice, devouring the 3 greatest traitors in history, Judas, Brutus, Cassius in an endless loop.

concept of circles #3

8th Fraud Known as Malebolge.

  1. In the first are the seducers and libertines, being pursued by demons with whips
  2. Here are the flatterers and tugboats sunk in dung and tugs, those who have spent their lives deceiving with flattering words will spend eternity knowing about their own tugs.
  3. In the third pit were the practitioners of simony, buried face down with their legs exposed while burning with flaming candles, who committed the sin of selling salvation through adultery, or selling false relics.
  4. Here are the fortune tellers, who claimed to predict the future, a task that only belongs to God; they had their heads turned away and their tears only moistened their buttocks.
  5. Here the corrupt were boiled in a lake of boiling tar and when they managed to reach the surface they were attacked by demons who forced them to submerge.
  6. Hypocrites were punished by wearing beautiful but lead-heavy garments, and maintaining appearances became an eternal punishment. In this pit lay the body of Caiaphas, the high priest who advised crucifying Jesus.
  7. Here, thieves were attacked by enormous snakes who stole their human features.
  8. Here lie the bad councilors burning in flames for having led others down the path of fraud and corruption.
  9. The sowers of discord are stabbed repeatedly in the ninth circle; there are those who divided families, created social conflicts, and destroyed the unity of the church.
  10. In the bottom pit are the counterfeiters, covered in all kinds of diseases and pestilences, for having lied, counterfeited and simulated; they would suffer various diseases according to their crime.

Concept of circles #2

6th Heresy

Dividing Hell is the city of Dis, where the three Furies guard the entrance along with the fallen angels. Dis is the boundary separating culpable sins, where there is no intent to offend, from intentional sins, committed knowingly and deliberately. Here in Heresy is the fiery graveyard where sinners scream within iron coffins flooded with lava. Here lie the atheists, those who rejected God's teachings and took many others with them, far from the Lord's grace.

7th Violence.

Entering into violence is the valley of Phlegethon, divided into three rings. In the first part, near the ruins of Crete, the dreaded Minotaur can be seen. At the bottom of the valley, within a river of blood, those punished for committing violent crimes are held. On the banks, the Minotaurs shoot arrows at the criminals. The more serious the crime, the deeper in the river they must be; otherwise, they will be punished by the Minotaurs. The next valley is reserved for suicides and those who inflicted pain upon themselves. These people were transformed into hideous trees that form a dark forest. From their branches, not a single fruit grew, only poisonous thorns. Harpies built their nests in the branches and devoured the few leaves of the tree, causing it to scream in intense pain. From every direction, its cries of lament and agony could be heard. Closing the circle of Violence, there is the abominable desert, people who committed violent acts before God, the blasphemous people, here the sand was boiling while balls of fire fell into the desert, the blasphemers burn lying in the sand, the sodomites who must run through the desert without ceasing, and the usurers who must sit in the burning sand.

Concept of circles #1

The first “layer” is where Minos lies and decides which circle of Hell you go to. 1st LIMBO.

Limbo itself is a sad place, where souls simply wander. Souls whose lives were not marked by baptism, or who were not bad people, but were atheists. They suffer no punishment.

2nd Lust

People who committed the sin of lust by prioritizing their lustful acts above all else can also end up here for having too many sexual relationships. The sinners here are perpetually lashed by hurricane-force winds, symbolizing how they were swept away by their passions.

3rd Gluttony

The gluttons lie in fetid mud under a filthy, freezing rain, guarded by a huge three-headed beast, Cerberus. This circle was reserved for those who abused the sin of gluttony, condemned to be trapped in mud made of their own vomit while being scratched, bitten, and torn apart by Cerberus.

4th Greed

Avaricious and prodigal people clash heavy weights against each other, condemned to work uselessly while fighting and dragging money, shouting at each other for being opposites. Their punishments vary, from toiling in the sun to hauling heavy rocks up mountains that will eventually crumble, repeating the cycle endlessly. This symbolizes the imbalance in the management of wealth.

5th Anger and sloth

The angry ones fight each other while drowning in the River Styx, while at the bottom of the river are the spiteful ones who try to scream, but only their bubbles reach the surface.

Introduction

The Underworld, a place well known to its inhabitants: sinners, the fallen, and those born in Hell… This place was explored in depth and exposed to mortals by our beloved Dante Alighieri… It's incredible how he survived the clutches of this horrifying, putrid place… But was it really worth it? He published the famous book “The Divine Comedy” to warn those who were still alive and had salvation, but oh no! “Surprisingly,” he didn't achieve his goal. What a surprise, right? After all, what could you expect from a species as corrupted as humans? Man was God's worst creation and Lucifer's greatest achievement.

This hell consists of two Hells; Upper Hell and Lower Hell, together giving us a total of nine circles: Upper Hell: Vestibule (off role Lobby): The indifferent and neutral. 1st Circle (Limbo): The unbaptized and virtuous pagans. 2nd Circle: The lustful. 3rd Circle: The Gluttons. 4th Circle: The avaricious and the prodigal. 5th Circle: The wrathful and lazy Lower Hell: 6th Circle: The Heretics. 7th Circle: The violent ones (divided into three rings against their neighbor, against themselves and against God/nature). 8th Circle (Malebolge): The fraudulent (divided into ten pits for different types of fraud). 9th Circle (Cocytus): The traitors (divided into four icy zones with Lucifer in the center, frozen and unified with the underworld).

In Hell, those born there and those severely physically damaged can drink a little blood from a leader of the circles (it's illegal, but very rare) to avoid death and regenerate to 100%.
