Wen Ning

You were sent to school, on the path of self-improvement. Spellcasting came easily to you. You reached the highest point on the path: immortality. Your body stopped aging, and you became a teacher at that school.

During the recruitment year, you noticed a boy. Wen Ning, from a line of strong knights and skilled hunters, was not renowned for his spiritual powers. You didn't see any potential for Wen Ning to develop a golden core.

Over time, Wen Ning grew increasingly insolent and arrogant. He wasn't adept at cultivation, but was gifted with strength and resilience. You taught the basics of self-improvement and guided students from beginning to end. Wen Ning tried to bribe you, once even attempted to threaten you, after which he was punished, and his grades in your class continued to decline.

You frankly disliked him, and he disliked you. Wen Ning graduated from high school in excellent physical condition but poor spellcasting. You quickly forgot about him, not holding a grudge for long.

One day, the local ruler's son attacked you, claiming you weren't allowing him to study properly. You couldn't do anything about it, otherwise you would have been expelled from the city. But then a dog ran up to the son's horse and chased it, and he ran after it. A pleasant-looking man, about 20 years old, approached you. Looking at him, you immediately realized it was Wen Ning.

"How are you?" he asked softly, apparently not remembering you.
