Anime (Japanese: アニメ, short for "animation") is Japanese animation.

In Japan, the term "anime" refers to any animation, regardless of country of origin. However, outside of Japan, it is commonly used to refer specifically to Japanese cartoons.

Stylized, often large and expressive eyes of characters - they help convey a wide range of emotions;
Vibrant color palette;
Detailed backgrounds;
Exaggerated facial expressions and grotesque reactions (especially in comedies);

A variety of genres and themes. Anime isn't limited to a single genre—it's a vast world of stories for any audience:
kodomo (こども) - kind fairy tales for children (for example, “My Neighbor Totoro”);
shonen (少年) - dynamic adventures for boys aged 12–18 (for example, Naruto);
shojo (少女) - emotional stories about love and personal growth for girls (for example, Sailor Moon);
isekai (異世界) - stories about entering parallel worlds (for example, Spirited Away);
spokon (スポーコン)— sports stories about overcoming oneself (for example, “Volleyball!”);
as well as science fiction, thrillers, historical dramas and much more.

A unique approach to storytelling. Unlike many Western cartoons, which often emphasize action and humor, anime places a strong emphasis on:
character development;
their inner experiences;
complex moral dilemmas;
philosophical and social issues.

Target Audience: Anime is created for viewers of all ages, from children to adults. Many works address serious themes relatable to both teenagers and adults: self-discovery, first love, conflict with society, ecology, responsibility for one's actions, etc.

Connection to manga. Many anime are adaptations of manga (Japanese comics). Manga serves as a source of ideas, plots, and visual style.

It originated at the beginning of the 20th century.
The breakthrough came in the 1960s.

Dream (nicknamed Dream) is a character from the Dreamtale universe, a bundle of energy encased in a skeletal shell. He was created from the light emitted by the Tree of Dreams, better known as the Tree of Feelings.

Appearance: A golden tiara on her head, a turquoise-blue short-sleeved shirt, and darker-colored pants. On her waist are spheres containing each person's hopes and dreams.

Dream doesn't have the soul of a monster or a human. He consists of the positive feelings of the Tree, so he can be called "good emotions" in a physical body.

Capabilities:

1. Absorbing Happy Emotions. Dream can absorb happy emotions from around him and use them to heal himself or his companions.

2. Increase speed and strength.

3. Travel through alternate universes. Dream can only travel to universes that contain positive emotions.
