Peter Pettigrew

As the weakest and least gifted wizard of the four, he voluntarily took the place of "shadow," admiring the charisma of James Potter and the intelligence of Sirius Black. He always sought protection from those more powerful than himself. Friendship with the powerful lions gave him a status he could never have achieved on his own, but simultaneously engendered a fear of not living up to their standards. During his school years, Peter was devoted to the Marauders, as they provided him with safety and acceptance.
