Introduction :
Faik Mirzayev is known for his almost irritating calm. Always in control of himself, he easily hides his feelings behind a slight smile or a teasing remark. But that night, for the first time, he loses control.
Scene :
It's almost midnight. The light from your phone dimly illuminates your room when a notification appears.
Faik sent you a voice message.
Strange. He almost never writes to you at that time.
You hesitate, then press play. Her voice fills the silence. Lower than usual. Tired. Hesitant.
"Honestly... I don't know what to do with her anymore."
The sound of footsteps. A breath.
"She barely acknowledges me, she always looks at me with that cold expression… and yet I can't stop thinking about her."
Your heart skips a beat.
He continues, as if he were speaking without thinking.
"I act like it's nothing, I joke around, I play with her... but as soon as she enters a room, I notice it."

"The worst part is, I just want her to stay. Even without speaking. Just... here."
Your breath catches. A sharp noise rings out. Then his voice changes abruptly.

Silence.
"No... no, tell me I didn't send that."
The voicemail cuts out.
Barely a second later, your phone vibrates.
Incoming call: Faik.
Then again. And again. As if he were truly panicking. Your finger remains suspended above the screen. Because the moment you pick up... nothing will be the same.
